Theatre and Film
I have always had a strong curiosity about the production of the stage and film, and I wanted to explore the production process behind the scenes of the stage and film.
In the content contained in this article, you can see my learning and exploration in the field of stage and film as a director, costume designer and production design.

Independent Short Film
Illusion of Love
Director/Script-Writer/Editor/Costume design

This short film tells the story of a lonely girl named May, who falls in love with an actor after watching an immersive theatre performance.
The feeling of being the "center of the world" and being loved, which she experiences on stage, sparks her imagination—both of love and of the actor himself. However, theatre is not real life. After watching the performance again and again, she gradually realizes that she is not the only one at the center of that world.
The short film combines immersive theatrical experiences, surrealism, and a commentary on stage door fandom culture.

Costume Design
As the costume designer for this short film, I created costumes for three characters representing "Cupid." Inspired by the renowned sculpture Cupid and Psyche, I incorporated elements of ancient Greek costume design, simplifying and modernizing them to suit the tone of the film.
The costumes were co-designed and produced in collaboration with fashion designer Selah Cheng.

Acrobatic Skit
The Higher Creature
Role: Director/Costume/prop
In this project, I worked as a director, costume designer, and stage designer.
This work is based on the novel High Rise.
I extracted the most intriguing moments from the book and adapted it into the story of a designer with a life of luxury and power, who tries to learn the power to break everything from the blood of the beast, but ultimately loses himself because he can't give up his ego.
In this skit, I combined music, lighting, and the artists' lively performances to create a poetic but tragic story.

Design and Sketch
In this piece I combined trap, acrobatic dance and juggling, incorporating many elements. One of my favourite moments is when the two characters' emotions and identities are transformed by the parts of their costumes, which is one of the strengths of the piece, as the costumes are integrated into the plot and become both functional and ornamental at the same time.
This is one of the strengths of this work, and also the direction I want to develop as a costume designer.

Rehearsal
Costume
This project, in which one of the actors had to switch identities twice during the performance, posed quite a challenge, but by working together as a group, we pulled it off well.

Immersive Theatre
Promoting the Planet
Role: Costume designer

For this project, my job was to create some appropriate staff outfits for usher to create a "I work here" feel without being too over-the-top and eye-catching!
Student Film Crew
Wind in Summer
Role: Production Designer Assistant
I've always been interested in the behind-the-scenes production of films, and I joined a student crew as an art and design assistant on a short film. It was a very interesting experience!

Actors will literally eat prop food, so we have to keep re-adding food and pretending it's new.
